Here are answers to the most commonly asked questions.

How long have we been making wedding cakes?  Since March of 1970. We have well over 7,000 wedding cakes of experience.

How far in advance should you order your wedding cake?  3-5 months is typical lead time. The earlier you order, the better. It's first come, first scheduled on delivery timing.

Can I request that each layer have a different flavor and filling?  Absolutely. There is no extra charge for this.

Can I have a taste of the cake, filling and icing?  We encourage this. We typically have at least 2-5 different cake/filling/icing combinations to taste on a daily basis for free. Custom samples are available for the nominal fee of $5.00.

Do you charge to deliver and set-up the cake?  Local delivery and set-up is free on all Monday through Saturday orders over $100.00. Sunday's and holidays there is a modest $35.00 extra fee. Out of the Santa Barbara area delivery fee varies. Call for prices or click here.

Can you supply cake boxes for saving the top tier and for left over cake?  We always leave a cake box for the top tier and will gladly leave extra cake boxes at your request.

Do we charge extra for cake supports and bases?  There is a FULLY REFUNDABLE deposit required on all pillars, support plates and stands. This deposit varies. All pieces must be returned clean and undamaged within 7-30 days from the reception date for refund.

When is full payment due?  When you place your order, a down payment of 20% or $50.00 (whichever is greater) is needed to secure your reservation. All balances due, including refundable deposits are due 10 days before reception date.

My caterer or hotel does not include a Henning's cake in their wedding package. What can I do to have a Henning's cake for my wedding?  Henning's has a good working relationship with most hotels and caterers in Santa Barbara. If your caterer is not affiliated with Henning's let them know you'd prefer a Henning's cake. Henning's will gladly work with your hotel or caterer to provide you with the best Santa Barbara has to offer.
